Mish Mish is the lovechild of Jessica Miller, it is cultural appreciation and celebration but demonstrating a real love, understanding and respect of another culture. Meet the team behind the brand as well as our partner families from Morocco and around the globe that weave their story into our story with the fabric of existence.
 

FOUNDER + CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Jessica Miller

Jessica has worked in the film industry for almost 20 years as producer and creative & production executive. In 2016 she set up Rebel Park Productions with fellow producer, Jessica Malik and actress and producer, Gemma Arterton, in response to a lack of good female stories and also to support women behind the camera. In 2018 they produced a short film, Leading Lady Parts, written and directed by Jessica Swale, which was first broadcast on BBC but went on to become a viral sensation amassing almost 30 million views. The film addressed gender inequality amongst actors whilst also representing the problem across all industries. Rebel Park have a select slate of feature films in development and are co-producing a TV adaptation in development with SKY. Most recently they created and produced a music video for Jessie Ware.

Jessica comes from a creative family and has always had an eye for design. Since having her two children, she has had a strong desire to design beautiful products that reflect her style whilst continuing to support women and local communities, both in the UK and Morocco.

Jessica started Mish Mish in 2019 to celebrate Berber culture and to put Moroccan artisans on the map. She soon partnered with Project Soar, a charity set up to empower teenage girls to become leaders of today and tomorrow by providing programs that help them understand their rights and freedoms, preparing them for more productive, fulfilled futures.

BRAND CONSULTANT

Beatrice Savoretti

Beatrice has worked in the fashion industry for 15 years and has consistently chosen to work with a number of young, startup womenswear brands to help promote and structure their marketing strategies around traditional press, industry and VIP placement. All her clients and collections have taken part in industry events and trade shows such as the London, Paris and New York Fashion Weeks giving Beatrice a collective of key international press and industry contacts who endeavor to support young designers to grow their businesses.

Some past and more recent brands include; Jasmine Di Milo, Huishan Zhang, Zoe Jordan and Galvan, all of which are stocked internationally in some of today’s top retailers such as Harrods, Selfridges, Matches and Bergdorf Goodman.

In 2018 Beatrice moved to the Cotswolds with her husband and young daughter where a natural distance between her and the fashion industry became both timely and expected. After the birth of her son and some distance from the fast paced, quick turning industry she was leaving behind, Jessica approached her to collaborate and advise on Mish Mish. Regardless of the captivating designs and concept, the cultural journey around heritage, traditions and female empowerment, with a focus on sustainability, traceability and transparency, felt in synchronicity with where and why their paths had crossed.
